No it is just like the ordinary game without speakers so really, it doesn't matter if you buy it with, or without Wii Speak
i didnt play the game but my guess is if its a nintendo ds game, change your birthday from the ds settings not from the game itself
They go pink due to the changing seasons. You can set your DS to the date and time and it will automatically set itself to your Animal Crossing game. Then the game knows when to change your seasons.

No - there are some areas of the city that you can gain access to as the game continues such as "Redd's" (the animal crossing version of the black market) by getting an invitation from an animal in your town or your friends on Wi-Fi. Also, if you go in the middle of the night and walk off the right side of the screen (down on the sidewalk) you can access Resseti's office. The city itself remains the same size throughout gameplay.
