no shift or bad shifting,
you'd have to get into the transmission to change a shift fork
Delayed shifting is because the transmission fluid is not warm enough to move through the internals of the transmission. You may need a transmission service,,,,,fluid change, new filter, etc. Transmission Fluid degrades with age.
if its an automatic change fluid filter in transmission!!
A "speed" sensor can affect the shifting of the trans.A "speed" sensor can affect the shifting of the trans.
A bad transmission solenoid will cause hard shifting and can eventually damage the unit. You should change the solenoid if it is bad.
Try to change the transmission filter, or check the shifting linkage.
change the transmission not the motor
If it is shifting in any way other than what was originally programmed, you should find out what's wrong and repair it. For example, If the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) is disconnected or not functioning properly, the transmission will shift extremely hard, and the vehicle can feel as though it was hit by a large hammer. If the transmission is shifting normally but you want it to be a little more firm, or if you want it to shift at a higher RPM, you will need to change some of the set-points in the on-board computer. Unfortunately, the computer interface to do that is quite expensive, and you will probably need to go to a transmission specialty shop.
yes .. Change filter, then try output and input transmission speed sensors.
Change it - to avoid a potential future problem.
First check the gear oil in the transmission. If low top it up. If correct take the unit out and drive until the transmission is warm. (about 20-30 min) Then change the gear oil. Fresh gear oil may improve the shifting.
