Usually registered dietitians reccommend eating 6 small balanced meals a day. This prevents you from getting hungry through out the day and then over eating. If you want to lose weight the Weight Watchers has a balanced plan

That is entirely dependant on what, and how much you eat.

In general terms that's a poor plan for weight loss.

First off, having only one meal will make you real hungry, and the hungrier you get the harder it will be to keep from snacking and overeating when you finally have your meal.

Next thing is that if you eat only once a day your body will believe that food is scarce, so whatever you eat it will try to hoard.

A much better approach is to eat 3 main meals and 2 snacks each day, each carefully planned out for its calorie content. That way your body won't slow down, and with smaller gaps between meals it'll be easier to stick to the plan and keep from snacking and overeating.

Probably not. It is going to be very difficult to eat only once a day and maintain any sort of energy levels. You don't want your body to shut down its metabolism and go into starvation mode. Small meals four times a day is more likely to succeed.

If you are meaning eating ONLY once a day, no you will not. You will become very weak and unhealthy! Eating only once a day is very dangerous.
