Possibly. It depends on the type of fox. It's size, it's level of hunger, if it's familiar with people... Urban foxes are brave and bolder around housing areas. There are several foxes around where i live and i worry for my jack russell. He sits at the patio window every night and so now and again will see a fox or hedgehog, etc. One night he spotted a fox in the garden. When we all went to see what my dog was going nuts for, we saw quite a small fox that froze when it saw us, then ran. A few nights later the same thing happened but instead it was a scarily large fox. This one just stopped walking and looked over casually as if it were annoyed. We knocked on the window and made lots of noise but it didn't care. It just strolled off through the garden without a worry. My dad even went and stood outside and shouted at it. The fox was only about 8ft away from him and it still didn't show signs of fear. This is when it becomes worrying for our pets. But jack russells are brave wee dogs compared to some other breeds and will stick up for themselves when they need to. There's no definate yes or no answer. Just hope that there isn't a big, over-confident fox roaming around...

Jack Russell Terriers
No all types of dogs have a different temptation to lick. Jack Russell's lick themselves to look good and tough. You don't need to worry about it. Its normal.
The Jack Russell is a smaller version of a Fox terrrier. A Fox terrier is derived from a wolf. I belive they just kept breeding small-legged Fox terriers until they got the Jack Russell terrier.
