Yes, they will bite humans if their young ones (Goslings) feel harmed or do not feel safe. Or if you clap or whistle they will give you a warning of a hiss and if you go past that warning and if they are close to you they will possibly bite you or anyone else.

Did you get bit? First in general a Wild Goose has more Bacteria then a Domestic Farm goose.
Could you get sick??
Well if the goose who bit you was carrying certain bacterias or ha recently eaten something with it and it was still in the grooves of the bill.. AND they bit you and opened the skin up..then MAYBE .. slight risk
But even with that its slight and if you washed the area then you would have not much to worry over.
I work with Urban and wild watefowl ALL the time and have been BIT more times than I can count by both Urban and Wild birds.. drawing blood more often than not... Ive never gotten sick , not once.
I would not be overly concerned about it if you are a healthy person with a functioning immune system.
If the Bite area begins to swell or look infected in a day or so.. see your physican.
Meanwhile, clean it and if its open put some antibacterial cream on it and a bandaid for a couple of days... then let it open to air.
Now of course this is assuming its superficial and does not need stictches... if its deep enough to need those then yuo need to see somebody... and then your infection risk is higher!
Good Luck
They don't chase as such but they do follow you if you have food or if they feel threatened. For example you may throw bread run out and they think you may have more and follow. Or if your in a park and they have little geese or other family members etc they will follow you and may chase you as they feel threatened like any other animal.
