The cost of a lung transplant is quite high and can cost about $400,000 for a single lung transplant and $800,000 for a double lung transplant. You can receive help from anyone to come up with the funds to be put on the lung transplant list.

Not as a soldier. You MIGHT be able to find employment as a DoD civilian, but it'll disqualify you from soldiering.
Yes but unfortuently this only delays their death. It is possible that people with Cystic Fibrosis are unable to have a lung transplant. My friends mom had Cystic Fibrosis and moved to get a transplant but couldn't and was suffering couldn't live with it anymore, so she passed.
The patient in South Africa only lived 18 days after the 1967 transplant after catching double pneunonia. This led to the search for better anti- rejection drugs. ps, the very first heart transplant was an operation upon a dog in the 1950s USA.
It depends what drugs you are already taking for your kidney transplant. Some may react oddly with antidepressents. You should consult your transplant doctor before taking anything that they have not prescribed for you (even if another doctor has prescribed the antidepressents, they may not have enough experience with kidney transplants to know what to give you). Always double check.
I think it's when the patient needs more than one organ transplanting (within the same operation); lots of patients have a joint heart/lung transplant at the same time, since it's easier than just transplanting the heart.
