It for sure will not do the engine any good. Why would you want to use a weight not recommended by the manufacture?
what is the engine control switch feed wire on a distributer
If you are looking for an inertia/reset switch, the answer is no. The engine computer controls the fuel system with relays. If you are looking for an inertia/reset switch, the answer is no. The engine computer controls the fuel system with relays.
The engine fuel management system will adjust for the lower octane fuel. This will cause you to have less power and your fuel mileage may suffer. If you hear any pinging whatsoever from the engine switch back to the premium fuel immediately or you will have engine damage. If no pinging occurs you can use regular.
No it will not ruin the engine but when making a switch you need to be careful. If you decide to make the change you must get the coolant system flushed because a lot of times two different coolants getting mixed will react with each other and it could ruin your entire system or even your engine. Also ALWAYS use a coolant with Dex-cool because all GM vehicles made since 1996 require it. From what I understand not using Dex-cool will cause rust in the coolant system and the engine block.
it will damage the engine. a stock engine isn't meant for that kind of force. add new air intake system and change out the whole exhaust system...that should add a little extra hp. don't use nitrous either you will FOR SURE blow your engine.
sounds like u need to change the ignition switch itself ( the keybarrel)
Push and hold the odometer reset button while at the same time turning the ignition switch to the on position (do not start the engine). In about 5 seconds the light will go out and the system will be reset.
Turn the ignition switch to the auxiliary position. Do not start the engine. Leave the ignition switch in the auxiliary position for 30 seconds. This will reset your alarm system.
Dont need to switch fuel off to change filter, the cut off or inertia switch is for emergencies only. With ignition off there will be no fuel pump running so the filter can be easily changed. There will be a residual pressure in system when engine off, dont worry about this as its normal to have a bit of petrol spraying out, just watch your eyes.
If the engine is overheating or when you service the cooling system and change the antifreeze.
Yes. It's a basic magnetic engine cut off switch. You don't see the DESS system until 1995 models.
No, that would be too expensive. The new system will program it.
