Yes. Nikon cameras have the distinct advantage over other cameras because they are backwards compatible with any Nikon lens. In short, any Nikon camera can mount any Nikon lens. The problem is how much of the lens capabilities are retained when used on a different camera. Depending on the lens' mounting system and the Nikon camera, the lens may or may not be able to autofocus or meter. Also, if you use an FX lens (from a film or D3/D700 camera) on a DX (digital DSLR) camera, the focal lengths will be different than on the film camera. More specifically, it will be 1.5 times the focal length of the film camera. (more zoomed in)
Vivitar makes lenses for several different camera mounts including Canon. A particular lens may fit or not depending on the mount.
Pentax screwmount lenses (M42) will fit differently branded cameras with the same mount. It will easily fit other camera mounts including digital bodies using a cheap adapter. Just make sure you use the correct version of the adapter that focuses correctly to infinity. With Pentax K-mount lenses, there are existing adapters that will mount these to a four/thirds system camera, the Canon EF EOS, the Minolta MA or Sony Alpha and the Leica M39 screw mount. Take note that in most digital bodies, the lens can only be used at manual mode. Some camera models will not meter through it even at stop down. Pentax dSLR bodies will meter through them and add Shake Reduction and focus confirmation even if the lens is full manual.
Generally, no. Each manufacturer has proprietary mounts for their lenses and, for example, Nikon lenses will not fit a Canon and so on. There are aftermarket lenses made to fit various cameras, but you need to specify the make and even sometimes the model of the camera in order to get a mount that fits.
This camcorder takes cassettes and so no memory cards fit it.
It is a measure of the size of the opening in the lens for the light to pass through. The smaller the f-stop the larger the lens opening, and large f numbers relate to small openings or apertures in the lens.
NO

The Canon EF lens will only fit Canon SLR camera bodies, unfortunately.
It depends on the make of the lens and the mount type. Newer Canon lenses have an EF mount while Nikon lenses have a Nikkor mount. Though you can purchase conversion kits to put a Canon lens on a Nikon and vice versa.
It depends on you new camera, you should ask about adapters from Mamiya to your new camera

Yes
Yes, it will fit. However, you will still need to see if the lens you have has or does not have features like autofocus or CPU connectors that will carry all the info that your camera needs... If it is a Nikon Lens it will work fine. So will others like Sigma, Tamron and Tokina. Carl Zeiss may not give you all the functions but will work in manual mode.
