But on a 10 year old desktop you are better off buying a new cheaper desktop which you can buy for less than $200 than you are to buy Windows 7 and install it on a 10 year old computer. You will end up with a better computer than the XP you have now. And remember it is 10 years old and any part of it can fail at any moment including the hard drive. You already have the monitor, keyboard, and mouse. All you need to buy is the tower itself which you can buy for less than buying Windows 7.
