Possibly. Excess oil increases oil pressure and can put an extra strain on gaskets. This is especially the case when "heavier" oil is used (i.e. 15/40) rather than say 5/30 or 0/30. Consistently overfilling your oil will eventually lead to leaks as the system is designed to operate under certain pressures and by overfilling you are exceeding that.

Obviously, older cars or cars that are driven in extreme conditions will be more susceptible. What is generally considered "overfilling?" Anything more than 1/4 of a quart is a good rule to go by.

Overfilling oil is not recommended. If engine temperatures become high enough the pressure will cause oil to leak out of the filter and dirty engine parts. If it enters into the air box, problems will occur.

Engine oil over fill where will it leak?

If you have over filled your engine oil, it will not "leak" unless you have completely filled the engine with oil and is pouring out where you put it in. However overfilling even as much as little as 1 quart can lead to catostophic engine damage as the crankshaft will spin into the oil in the pan causing it to foam and cause oil circulation problems throughout the engine leading to overheating and engine siezing.
