Yes
as the lambda sensor supplies data to the ECU to control the fuel mixture
A malfunctioning oxygen sensor can cause the engine to be low on power.
When an oxygen sensor goes bad a car will burn gas at a higher than normal rate because it will not be producing as much power as before. The oxygen sensor checks the amount of exhaust.
Check and clean the MAF sensor.
A bad oxygen sensor can cause power loss, reduced fuel economy and damage to your catalytic converter.
Check engine light, low power, low fuel economy, (when the computer tries to adjust the oxygen sensor readings)highly illegal.Check engine light, low power, low fuel economy, (when the computer tries to adjust the oxygen sensor readings)highly illegal.
YA!
Low gas milege is an indication of a bad oxygen sensor and/or it's wiring. A lack of power, increasing vibration in car's floor and cabin area(s), high RPM's at highway speeds.
There is no fuse for the oxygen sensor. The only fuse is for the ECM. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On a 1997 Ford Explorer, there is a 20 amp mini fuse for the Hego system (heated exhaust gas oxygen sensor) in location # 11 in your power distribution box in the engine compartment. Hard starting, loss of power, excess fuel consumption, check engine light, and a blowing sound under heavy acceleration.
faulty sensor possibly cam/crank/oxygen/temperature sensor.
you would experience a pinging "metalic noise" under heavy or rush acceleration, would also have lost of power. this problem will not turn the check engine light.
bank 1 is the first oxygen sensor coming down from the engine. bank 2 is the one furthur back installed into the exhaust system. if bank 1 gooes, your ar will ride horrible. f bank 2 goes, it will run alright but you will be buring alot of fuel and losing soe power
