Not as long as your aftermarket exhaust is keeping backpressure in your system. Backpressure keeps the pistons from creating a vacuum in your exhaust and actually sucking harmful substances back into the chamber before the exhaust valve in the head can fully close, but keep your backpressure, save your engine.
it measures the amount of exhaust your vehicle is putting out.
They pollute the air by putting exhaust in the air.

Answer1974 was the first year Volkswagen used Exhaust Gas Recirculation on its cars. If yours is hooked up, you will find an Official Volkswagen Piece of Pipe running between the right-hand tailpipe mount and the Official Volkswagen Air Cleaner. If either of those two items isn't there, the EGR system has been disabled, and you can put an early muffler on the car. If the pipe is there, you need to use the 1974 (expensive!!!) muffler.AnswerA 1972/73 California spec exhaust sytem will have EGR also. In 1974 EGR went nation-wide. I doubt you are putting an originalused exhaust system on as most of them have long ago rusted into oblivion. Most people have eliminated the EGR system from their vehicles with aftermarket exhaust systems long ago, however, if you have to use the original emissions sytems (or just want to) in your area there are original type aftermarket exhaust systems with EGR still available. It is not likely you will have to use the original exhaust system w/EGR, and performance, sound, and price advantages to an aftermarket system is usually preferred.
no they cannot. They can only void your warranty for opening the system, but the physical unit is yours. They will only ban you for copyright infringement.
It's an exhaust break, it uses the engine compression to slow down the vehicle by putting back pressure back in the motor. It's essentially a valve in the exhaust that closes.

it will help preformance more than millage
Not at all... All you are doing is installing an app onto the phone (An .apk file to be exact). This is just like you putting a game on your phone, or putting a picture/mp3/wmv, etc.. on it. You are definitely NOT voiding the warranty in any way at all. :) Sources: Own knowledge.
Nope, on the 94 models, there is only one and it's either in your exhaust manifold or in the exhaust pipe. In 95 they started putting 2 in them.
