It most certainly will and not in a good way. This is not a swap that is recommended. First off the 225/75-16 tire will be 2.36 " smaller in overall diameter than the 265/75-16 tire. This is a 7.46% difference. It is never wise to go over 3% difference. Your speedometer will read 64.8 at a true 60 mph. Your engine will turn an extra 53 rpms per mile causing you to use more fuel. You ride, handling, and stopping distance will also be effected negatively. The bottom line is that this is a very bad idea. Stick with the OEM size that the engineers designed for your truck.
It can change the accuracy of the speedometer.
You should see very little difference. You are going to a larger tire but the aspect ration is smaller, thus making them almost the same diameter.
any 225 sl6 from 1960-87 will fit car or truck as will intake .I have one no cracks call me 250-751-1652
225. Anything to the power of 0 is 1. 225/1 is 225
Yes, you can There will be about a 5% decrease in the tire diameter. 225 65 tires are 225mm wide and 146.25mm in height (65% of the width), while 215 60 tires are 129mm tall, which will affect the odometer and speedometer. When your speedometer reads 60 mph, you'll actually be traveling closer to 57 mph. Replacing the 225 65 tires with 215 70 tires would keep the diameter almost the same (150.5mm).
