No, SSI won't cover it... And unfortunately, Canada is as stingy with Immigration as the US is... Best bet is to get a job, get room mates to share the rent, eat only when you need to, and work lots of overtime. Of course that means giving up your SSI, but it's happiness or a free pass at life...
