Yes Actually.
Cape Town International Airport has went through a lot of renovations, extended it's runway, and actually has two or even more aircraft gates which can accommodate the A380. The first airline would probably be Emirates, but possibilities that South African airways can come up with a few A380s is not bleak.
Do not get discouraged, i live in Cape Town.
Airbus A380
The A380 by Airbus is currently the biggest plane on earth.
Yes the Airbus A380 has already landed at Nadi International Airport on two different occasions and both the times they were owned by Qantas Nadi International Airport has all facilities to accomodate an Airbus A380 but it hasn't beenn certified yet. The airbus A380 had to land once due to someone getting sick onboard and the second time due to some technical issues
The Airbus A380 is the largest passenger jet and it can seat 853 people when configured in 'all economy' role.
the airbus A380-it can hold up to about 800 passengers-it is a full double decked-four jetted plane (two jet engines on each wing((two wings)))
The An-225 Mriya is the largest aeroplane ever built. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonov_An-225) The Airbus A380 is the largest passenger airliner in the world. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airbus_A380)
The first European settlers in South Africa (and in Cape Town) arrived in 1652 and were representatives of the Dutch East India company whose task it was to set up a victualling station for the ships of the company to take on fresh supplies on the long journey round the Cape of Good Hope to the spice and silk Routes of the East. From this Dutch garrison eventually arose town; then a city that became known as Cape Town.
No. The Cape of Good Hope is a name reserved for a geographical feature, the western cape at the entrance to False Bay, which by association has also referred to the area around Cape Town. But that area never covered the large area now known as the Republic of South Africa.
The question is a little vague. What do you mean by largest and commercial? In terms of passenger carrying Airliners, the Airbus A380 is the heaviest and can carry the most passengers. In terms of Longest - the Airbus A340-600 is the longest from nose to tail. In terms of cargo aircraft in operation today, the top two spots have to go to Antonov. The AN225 is the biggest aircraft ever built, although there are only one or two in operation. The AN124 is the next biggest cargo aircraft. Both of these are bigger than the A380 - which was designed down to fit inside an 80m box, so it could operated from major airports.
No. That was a little joke perpetrated by a group on Youtube.
well the airplane was first created in 1903 by wilbur and orville wright. It was called the wright flyer; ever sense than planes have progressed. first from being propeller aircraft, to the modern day jet (or jumbo jet). the first four engine plane was the 707, which has also progressed into several other planes. like the 747, airbus a340, airbus a380, and several ten's of thousands more two engine and three engine planes.
yes......
