it is probably throwing off a sensor, like the mass airflow or map sensor and causing the check engine light to come on
You couldpossibly have a problem with engine vacuum system like a leak
You can take it to an auto store like autozone and they will run a test to read codes for the check engine light.
it looks like a transmission or the check engine light will come on
That sounds like problem in the cluster. The high beam indicator is cross wired to the check engine light when it shouldn't be.
check the hoses.. check for cracked/blown head gasket - you might see staining on the engine block check for water in the rocker box - oil will look like mayo - side effect of a blown gasket check for a leaking freeze plug
It looks like an engine, or it may just say Check Engine.
Engine temperature rising when the engine is idling is normal. The car is sitting still and no air is entering the engine compartment. This will cause the engine temperature to rise. The cooling fans then come on and the engine returns to a normal temperature. Unless the cooling fans do not bring the temperature down, you have no problems and this is totally normal.
Depending on the year it may look like a little yellow engine, or it will say check engine, or service engine soon.
The check engine light on a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee looks like this... Here is a link Check Engine Light It looks like a little yellow engine.
The check engine light will usually come on. On a Chrysler product the check engine light will not come on for low oil. You should either see the oil pressure gauge fall (if equipped) or the low oil pressure light will come one. That is the one that looks like a little red oil can. In addition the engine will overheat and you will start to hear some noise from the engine.
It will be an icon of an engine or it will just say Check Engine.
