It looks like the democrats will win right now.
A long time ago when it was federlists (national rights) and anti-federlists (state rights) people who were anti-federlists the democrats were more of farmers and middle to low class people. On the other hand the federalists the republicans were high class business men the urban type. But now Republicans and Democrats are spread through out the whole country.
The first difference prior to the Civil War was that the Republican Party opposed slavery while the Democratic Party supported it, and the Whig Party did not take a firm stand either way. The Democratics supported US involvement in World War 2 while the Republicans were isolationist. The Democrats usually believe in gun control, gay marriage, abortion, and bigger government, while the Republicans generally claim to oppose these.
As the old parties broke up, antislavery zeal gave rise to the new Republican Party. Opposition to slavery was the center of the Republican philosophy. Attracting antislavery Democrats, Whigs, Free-Soilers and Know-Nothings, the Republican Party grew rapidly in the North. (I got this answer straight from the history book, so you can copy it and you don't have to reword it and it will be right)
There are no political parties as a whole that oppose same sex marriage, only individual politicians. That is why it is important to research a person before casting your vote, and not just judging by what party they belong to. If an issue is important to you, then it is best to see what the individual's stand on it is. There are pro and anti gay rights politicians in each party. In the United States, the Republican Party opposes the legalization of same-sex marriage.
We need a whole lot more info than that to help you with that one. I'm still scratchin' my head.
they can be eaten but they should have some rights republican for whole life thinks this
President Franklin Roosevelt. He had polio
Franklin D. Roosevelt was paralysed by polio.
# YES ONE VOTE MAKES A DIFFERENCE BECAUSE SAY IF THE ELECTORIAL VOTES OF THE REPUBLICAN IS 155 AND THE ELECTORIAL VOTES FOR DEMOCRATS IS 388 AND YOU WANTEDD THE REPUBLICANS TO WIN IF THAT ONE PERSON WOULD HAVE VOTED THE WHOLE SCOREBORED COULD HAVE BEEN DIFFERENT AND THE REPUBLICANS COULD OF WON.
Today ALL US parties and politicians are in favour of the Civil Rights act. But it was Democrat president Kennedy who had it drafted and Democat President Johnson who guided it through Congress. In all fairness, most Republicans voted in favour of the Civil Rights Act as well and a minority of Republican AND Democrat congressmen voted against it. But that had mostly to do with their Southern States background, not with the convictions of the Democrat and Republican parties as a whole.
The democrats really just want everyone to live, because its stated in your human rights that everyone has the right to live. Republicans believe in it for the sake of revenge and the whole "eye for an eye" idea.
FDR had polio as a young man and his legs were partially paralyzed.
The democratic party was created because of the presidency of Andrew Jackson. When he was running for president, he had a whole new political belief, which didn't fit the description of a federalist or a republican. So, to compromise for Jackson's odd political beliefs, he and his followers created the Democratic Party.
Whole some. You take away the whole and there are still SOME left over
