Please check your year again to insure it is not a 1988 or younger. Honda did not officially make the Trx300 until 1988. Use the VIN decoder located in the repalted links section to get the year. It is the 10th digit in the VIN.
To answer your question. If you have a 1988, Yes it will fit the 1997 Trx300
Honda did change part number in 1993 but only the manufacture code changed in he part number. That means its the same part with a different part #.
Thanks.
Yes it would. With the Honda Fourtrax TRX 300 most ALL parts are interchangeable from 1988-2000.
I'm sure one with the right tools could fabricate it to work.... But for the general, the answer would be NO. The front is a different type of gear system. It also used different axles and mounts differently.
No it will not work.
rear differential is low on fluid replace the fluid in the diff. or if that dont work you may have to replace it
Superbly detailed answer at http://www.howstuffworks.com/differential.htm
10w40 made for wet-clutch engines will work just fine
no it will not.
"Snug" will work
The best place to find the diagram for the rear differential on a 2000 GMC Jimmy is at the dealer. The dealer carries diagrams and manuals for all the the repair work.
The screwdriver, the spanner and the pliers are some of the tools that are needed to strip down a rear-differential on a L200 4 work. The bolts simply need to be loosened.?æ
Yes
No you can not, The spider gears in the rear differential are a different size and so are the outer wheel bearings and seals. Won't work.
