Yes, But you will have to move the rear transmission cross member and more then likely have to change the drive-shaft. It would help alot to know what year and model it is. That would have alot to do with your modifying that you would have to do. measure the size of the output shaft to the rear pinion seal at the differentials yoke. (were the ujoint on the driveshaft meets) I've had two drive shafts altered at a local machine shop for about 200 dollars. im sure the spline count on the 400 transmissions output shaft will match the rear for its particular application is on GM made vehicles. also keep in mind anytime you would want to change a transmission that it has a bellhousing (where trans meets and then connects to the rear main of engine) that will bolt up to the back of the block.
They are not the same, the awd drive has a center differential and an output shaft and transfer case to drive the rear wheels. They are not the same, the awd drive has a center differential and an output shaft and transfer case to drive the rear wheels.
The rear, or tail shaft, of a transmission has a seal around the output shaft. The drive shaft will have to be removed and the seal replaced.
It is on the rear left of trans, and does screw in.
Transfers power from the transmission output to the differential input.
Rear top of transmission case near drive shaft output.
Yes.... It will either say 2.4 Turbo or 2.4 High Output Turbo. How do I know?... I own 2 2005 GT Turbo cruisers... both have the HO logos on the rear passenger side. I've seen the other ones on the non h/o...... Howard Yes.... It will either say 2.4 Turbo or 2.4 High Output Turbo. How do I know?... Flywheel is bolted to the rear of the crank shaft and the clutch mounts to it, to connect the manual trans. to the motor.
It is located on the rear of the transmission, drivers side. 5 minute fix...
if leaking out small hole in middle of front driveshaft yoke, check o-ring in cup on output shaft. have to remove extension housing.
The inter axle differential (also called a power divider) is an integral shaft in the forward axle. That shaft is the input for the forward axle and also the rear axle with a differential separating the input from the output allowing for a difference in speed between the front and rear axle.
