LCD TV's last longer than plasma TV's.
LCD T.V.'s last longer than plasma T.V.'s
Plasma TV's, by design, have a much shorter life than LCD TV's.
The difference between plasma and lcd televisions is that plasma televisions have better colors. However, lcd televisions last longer than plasma.
Great question and the answer to this is very simple. LCD tvs last a lot longer than plasma and the pixels on the screen don't experience burning. Plasma tvs at some point the screen burns out and is now no longer wonderful anymore.
No because the LCD or plasma technology is relatively new. It also depends on the maufacturer. Panasonics plasma tv has a 100,000 lifespan versus 60,000 of an LCD. Plasma and LCD are not the same type of tv either.
LCD's are price competitive and use less power than plasma saving at least 30% less than plasma. LCD's are also lighter than plasma making it easier to move around. Plasma's get screen burn which isn't as common with LCD's. LCD's have a longer duration than plasma screens. LCD's also has more pixels on a screen than the plasma. They are lighter than plasma's making it easier to move around. Plasma TV's would lose half there brightness after about 30,000 hrs of viewing whereas the LCD would lose half there brightness after about 60,000 hrs. LCD's also have better viewing angle up to 170 degrees and plasma's only go up to 160 degrees. An LCD can't be beaten in terms of picture quality and value. LCD's last up to twice as long as Plasma. They are available in higher screen resolutions and they use lower voltages.
No most people consider lcd tvs better than plasma tvs. Plasma tvs are harder to fix than lcd tvs. Lcd tvs also have a clearer picture than plasma tvs do.
LCDs are more energy efficient and generally last longer.
A plasma TV is better than a LCD TV. haha! :-)
== == LCD is best when compared to plasma because crystals have very good property regarding refletion.....so it is better to use LCD rather than using plasma...The plasma have disadvantage that its is not as stable as an LCD.
