LCD T.V.'s last longer than plasma T.V.'s
Plasma vs. LCD has been going on for awhile. Plasma was generally considered better for larger TVs and for "black screen" issues. However, LCD screens have closed the gap to the extent that plasma is rarely preferred over LCD.
Plasma and LCD televisions are the two top produced tv varieties available today. Plasma offers a few advantages over LCD in the picture quality. One of the top noticeable advantage is in color as a Plasma television produces deeper blacks giving a higher contrast look. A few other advantages of Plasma are that they have less motion blur due to high refresh rates, and wider viewing angles than LCD screens.
They both have there own advantages and disadvantages. Plasmas are cheaper and has better picture quality. Smaller tvs don't come in plasma. LCD has a longer lifespan.
Plasma screen TVs differ from LCD or LED TVs. Plasma TVs use electrically charged ionized gas to display the picture. The advantages of a plasma TV are that they provide a clearer and better picture than LCD or LED TVs.
The difference between plasma and lcd televisions is that plasma televisions have better colors. However, lcd televisions last longer than plasma.
Both have their own advantages. LCD has a better resolution than plasma of the same size, but plasma is better priced and has better viewing angles. LCD is lighter if your putting on a wall, but the bigger the TV the better reason for getting Plasma for viewing purposes. LCD are better smaller TVs.
Plasma TVs have excellent contrast and can produce deeper blacks than LCD TVs. Additionally, plasma TVs display more natural colors. They also have a wider viewing angle than LCD TVs.
No most people consider lcd tvs better than plasma tvs. Plasma tvs are harder to fix than lcd tvs. Lcd tvs also have a clearer picture than plasma tvs do.
A plasma TV is better than a LCD TV. haha! :-)
LCD
LCD televisions will typically outlast there Plasma counterparts.
Plasma, plasma can have the "burn in screen" but so can lcd, lcd is actually more likely to burn in that a plasma, now the whole picture wont burn in but each individual pixel will, For Plasma TVs, the advantages over LCD, are: Better contrast ratio, better ability to render deep blacks, more color depth, better motion tracking (response time), and more availability in very large screen sizes.
