Can you not unlock your door with the key and then pull your inside release etc. ?

You don't. You call a locksmith and have him open the door.
2005 ford escape door handle inside and outside the suv will not open the door
Leave driver's door open when replacing the battery. It's when upon installation of battery, you open driver's door and the alarm activates, right? Leave door open during installation. Same goes when you are charging up the battery, leave door open.
The battery has nothing whatsoever to do with the bonnet on a Ranger. There is either a hood release inside the truck under the dash drivers side or the hood release in located outside under the front edge of the hood.
how do you unplug the quick connect wiring and open the door to change the battery on a model 1275
what do you mean broken? The cam came off the pawl? Disconnected from inside the door panel? If so pry open the window by the top of the door frame, try using a coathanger to access powerdoor locks or inside door handle.
