My van has bad tires at front and better ones at rear, should wheel alignment be performed with bad tires?
If the front tires on a Mitsubish Pajero have worn on the outer wall, it can be caused by wheel alignment issues. As wheel alignment shifts, it can cause feathering of the tires.
The wheel alignment is off, probably the camber.
Wheel alignments require special equipment, but to do a rough alignment,(such as after replacing steering parts)to get you to the alignment shop, you can measure the back of the front tires at center, and the front of the front tire at center and ensure that the two measurements are the same. Then go straight to the shop. Driving with the alignment out wears tires and can result in loss of control.
You need an alignment to ajust your camber most vehicles wear the inside of the tire on the front and middle of the tire on the rear. Rotating your tire after a proper alignment every 9000 to 12000 mile will inprove your tire life. Four wheel alignment should cost $65 to $100 front wheel 50 to 85.
If your car's tires are out of balance it will usually cause a vibration or thumping. If your wheel alignment is out it will usually cause the car to pull to one side.
Assuming that one is referring to a front wheel alignment, there are a number of signs that can indicate that this process is required. If the car has driven over 100,000 miles since the last alignment, the front tires are wearing unevenly, the front of the car shakes when driving on a smooth surface, or the car is pulling to one side, a front wheel alignment is probably needed.
Tires out of balance, wheel bent, or both. Have the tires rotated and balanced, wheels inspected, and the front end alignment checked.
No. If there had previously not been any alignment issues, and as long as the new tires are properly balanced, you will not need an alignment.
YES. Otherwise your tires will wear out fast and uneven.
Because your making right turns going too fast. Your front end may also be out of alignment. If the tires are wearing unevenly take it to a shop for an alignment.
if you have independent suspention front and rear chances are a 4 wheel alignment can be done typically front wheel drive vehicles but not all.
