The first thing you should do is check whether you really forget login password or not. When we install Windows, it automatically creates an account "Administrator" and sets its password to blank. So if you have forget your user account password then try this:
Start system and when you See Windows Welcome screen / Login screen, press ctrl+alt+del keys Twice and it'll show Classic Login box. Now type "Administrator" (without quotes) in Username and leave Password field blank. Press Enter and you will be able to log in Windows.
Or you can get into the Safe Mode to reset your account password from "Control Panel -> User Accounts". In Safe Mode Windows will show this in-built Administrator account in Login screen.

A lot of people think that after having lost their Windows admin password, they absolutely have to reinstall their OS. Let me tell you something: They are wrong! Here I'm posting a few methods / utilities which can be used to recover Windows password:
1st Method:

If you don't know the user name and password there are two things that you can do 1. Reinstall Windows 2. Make friends with a hacker There is one other possibility - if you start it in safe mode then there might be a special administrator account that shows up, if it doesn't have a password you can just go in and delete the other user account on the computer and then make a new one with your own User name and Password If the computer is old enough to have Windows 2000 on it I wouldn't recommend putting anything newer than XP on it.
