Ethiopia was NEVER colonized, it was just partially occupied under Italy for 5 years but was not colonized. ever. The above is incorrect. Ethiopia was not colonized until 1936. Italy did place Italian inhabitans in the country, but the enterprise did not last. Italy's colonial claims were acknowledged and accepted by other European states.PLEASE IGNORE THE ANSWERS ABOVE. Ethiopia was never colonized. Italy attempted to colonize Ethiopia, but us Ethiopians fought back! Ethiopia beat Italy and did NOT get colonized, EVER. Ethiopia is the only country in Africa that has never gotten colonized by another country.
Thailand, only one country in South East Asia has never been colonized.( wrong answer) ETHIOPIA the only African country never been colonized.
Ethiopia was occupied for five years, but there was constant guerrilla warfare taking place, which means it was never colonized. Liberia was never colonized also.
These are countries that have not been colonized. Ethiopia won in the war with Italy that took approximately five years to finish because Italy almost won and started to bring people from its land but finally Ethiopia won. Liberia was an empty land and when slaves came back from the U.S.A they settled there and the colonization movement was about to finish but i think they had a war too. Anyway, to sum up they are the countries that have never been colonized
Yes
Ethiopia has never been colonized, despite several attempts from various countries like England and Italy. In fact Italians were defeated by Ethiopians in the battle of Adwa in their attempt to capture Ethiopia. Later just before WWII Ethiopia fell under the occupation of Italians (1936-1940) and they were ousted by the combined forces of Britain and Ethiopia, in WWII British campaign So no date of Independence. Sorry,
Yes. Human life is thought to have originated in the Ethiopian region, and has been called Ethiopia (as a part of sub-saharan Africa, which was referred to by that name) since at least the time of Herodotus (484 - 425 B.C.) It is the only African nation to never have been colonized by Europeans.
The only African country not colonised by a European power was Ethiopia (formerly called Abyssinia). The Italians did invade Abyssinia in 1936 but never successfully conquered it and were driven out by 1945. Liberia was established by the government of the United States of America as a place in Africa where freed slaves could return to.
No, Not at all. Because the two countries are poor in every thing from the other African countries. They both are suffering with lack good governance, adequate infrastructure, knowledge inefficiency and so many things. I thing it was better if they were colonized.
without the explorers, America would never have been colonized. The "New World" would have never been found.
