The Chevrolet small block 400 will bolt in place of the 305 but be sure to use a 400 flywheel or flex plate. Do not use the 305 flywheel or flex plate on the 400.
will bolt up but you may have to replace the flex plate ot tourque converter, and possibly the wiring the gos into it
Yes, the Turbo 400 will bolt up to the 305. Use the original Turbo 400 torque converter and flex plate unless the 305 flex plate has dual bolt pattern to except the 400 converter.
Yes it will fit. bellhousing will fit but the torque converter will not bolt up to flex plate (flywheel) not to mention the trans cant handle the increased amount of torque with big block
Those 86-up 305's do need to have the special flexplate with attached weights. If your flexplate has not been damaged, you'll need to look elsewhere for the cause of your vibration.
A Chevy 305 is not a transmission it is a motor. If you mean a Chevy turbo 350 then the answer would be 3 different forward speeds and reverse.

yes the 305 will fit the 4.3l transmission, 4.3l block is a 305 with 2 cylinders shaved off.
Seriously? A 305 Chevy motor does not take "transmission fluid"! The transmission takes transmission fluid, and the motor takes oil. The 305 should hold 5 quarts of oil I believe. As for the transmission, I believe that all depends on what transmission you have. Seriously? A 305 Chevy motor does not take "transmission fluid"! yes it will I've even bolted a 700R4 on a 85 (305)
Yes it will if you have the motor mounts and frame supports for the 305/350 and the bell housing for the 305/350 it will fit right in. I have allready done it
That would be the 4L60E automatic transmission. The 3/4 Tons used the 4L80E trans.
