I'm not positive on this but I don't think that would cause any Transmission Problems.
I'm no Pro but I would consult a Local Auto Parts Store.
Well, most transmissions today are electronically controlled and all grounds should be clean and tight.
It is possible. Replace any broken mount, and this will eliminate the possibility.
When a Toyota 4Runner will not move in reverse, it could be that the reverse band in the transmission is broken. Another possibility is a problem with a range selector. Both problems would need the services of a transmission expert because the transmission would have to be pulled.
Make sure there is a ground wire from the transmission to the frame. Most likely is has been un hooked or misplaced .
you may have a broken transmission mount, check it closely.
My guess would be a broken transmission.
Under heavy acceleration the transmission will not quickly downshift.
Broken cable or linkage? Transmission trouble (?)
my car has been slipping in the transmission would it be the that the transmission is bad or is the filiter and the transmission fluid needing changed?
Not changing the transmission fluid in a car within 200K would cause problems.
a broken dip stick wont cause hard shifting... the engine does not do the any shifting... your problem would be the transmission... check transmission....
Depends on what year you are talking about here. Most of the transmission problems with Mitsubishi's are the end clutches and valve bodies. I would recommend if you don't know what these are to take it to a transmission shop.
