No, not from something pulling power from the battery. A battery that runs down with one cable disconnected has a dead cell and must be replaced.
check to see if your battery connections are correct. if you have a bad ground cable it could drain any battery quickly
The drain hose is connected to a nipple underneath the battery tray.
The battery might drain
This can absolutely cause the drain. If the solenoid happens to be stuck in an energized position the battery will slowly drain. A Good Way To Test++++Get A Light 12 Volt, Or A Voltage Tester From Parts House==Looks Like A Screwdriver, With A Wire Running Out Thr Top & Sharp Pointed On The Other End. Remove Your Ground Cable Connect Tester To Ground Cable, Then Connect Other End To Neg. Terminal ( This Will Be Between Ground Cable And Battery, Leave Hot Cable Connected. DO NOT TEST THROUGH IT. THE POSITIVE CABLE IS NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS TEST. IF YOU HAVE A VOLTAGE LEAK THE LIGHT WILL COME ON !!! IF IT DOES CHECK DIFFERENT ITEMS< WHEN THE LIGHT GOES OUT> YOU GOT IT.
Possible fix, remove NEGITIVE battery cable,..connect a common test light[aligater clamp end to cable... point end to battery post] to bridge a circuit at the NEGITIVE post-to-cable...with all doors, trunk lid, and glove box shut, key out of ignition...disconnect under hood light... if light is off there is NO battery drain, open drivers door, the testlight should come on.....this tests for battery draw...
Yes, if the relay was stuck it would drain the battery.
Yes, a loose battery cable will prevent the alternator from charging the battery. The drain on the battery is not caused by the engine not running unless an accessory is left on. Most likely, the drain is caused by accessories (radio, lights, etc) while the engine is running due to the battery not receiving its charge from the alternator and then not having enough charge left to start the engine.
A stuck relay in the car can drain the battery. A dead cell in the battery itself will drain the battery overnight. If this is the case the battery must be replaced as there is no way to fix it. To find out disconnect the negative battery cable for around 8 hours. If the battery goes dead it has a dead cell. If not then something is draining the battery. Anyplace that sells batteries can test the battery for you.
You do not need an isolater, but it is reccomended as without one you can drain your battery connected to your starter (your vehicle won't start). I do not run an isolater, just don't leave your accessories running and the battery won't drain.
Disconnect the - cable Put battery on a 1 amp "trickle" charge Newer vehicles have a parasytic load that will drain a fully charged battery in 21 days (by design) Disconnect the - cable Put battery on a 1 amp "trickle" charge Newer vehicles have a parasytic load that will drain a fully charged battery in 21 days (by design) Disconnect the - cable Put battery on a 1 amp "trickle" charge Newer vehicles have a parasytic load that will drain a fully charged battery in 21 days (by design)
Good chances are, the alternator is not connected correctly or is defective.
Because if you reversed the polarity at the battery it would blow the fuse through which current flows to the drain.
