If you have full custody of one child it's the other parent that should pay you child support for that child. You need to go back to court to correct this.

Can you get child support from the father if he is remarried and only the wife is working?

You should definitely file for a child support order. The court will decide on the amount according the the state child support guidelines. A father who doesn't work is still responsible for supporting his child. If you obtain a child support order now, it can be modified when he gets a job.You should definitely file for a child support order. Paternity must be established before child support is awarded. Therefore, it would be unlikely that "legitimation" would change the amount of that support.

Child is 18 parents never marry does father still have to pay child support?

The father of the child is responsible for supporting the child until it is at least 18 and through high school. Usually a court order sets the amount. The only possible exceptions would be if the support is not ordered or if the child is adopted by someone else.

How much would a father have to pay for his two-year-old daughter if you are a single mother?

If the couple were not legally married, paternity of the child would need to be established before the court would consider child support. The amount of child support is determined by the income of the obligated parent and by the laws of the state in which the minor child is a resident. That being the case there is no standard answer as to the amount a parent would be required to pay.

Your daughter moves in with her father can he change the amount of child support he pays?

If that is the only child you share, then you will have to pay him child support. If there are two children, then you two will break even and no one will pay child support. If there are more than two children, then the amount of support will have to be re-calculated and he should pay you less.

Is it legal for a mother to collect child support while the father is living with her and the child?

It depends on the state. In most states the father would still be required to pay child support, even though he is living with the mother and the child. However, if the father was financially supporting the mother and child, it's likely that the courts would suspend the child support order.

If you send your child to the father for a year should you be required to send him the child support money back?

Yes, its child support. If the money is not used to support the child then its being misused. Alimony would be to support you. If the father is looking after the child, then he should not be paying child support to the mother - she doesn't have the cost of looking after the child at that time. In fact, the mother may well be in a position to send chilod support to the father - it goes both ways and she is responsible for the child just as much as the father is.

How Can you fight child support as the paying father?

If you are the child's father then you really have little legal support to not support your child. Your child is legally entitled to your financial support.
