Yes it can cause bulbs to blow.
A faulty alternator, a faulty belt tensioner.
alternator faulty
The voltage regulator in the alternator can cause issues like this when they start to go bad. The voltage regulator is an integrated part of the alternator and cannot be replaced, if it is bad, the entire alternator must be replaced.
It could lead to it indirectly.
A short to ground in the positive side of the headlight circuit. Most likely by a failed headlight switch. Ford is notorious for faulty healdight switches.
No it cannot unless alternator is not charging the only power a diesel requires is for fuel cutoff solenoid
What would cause a headlight not to work on a Corsa SXI
I can't quiet answer this question as i have the exact same problem. The only 2 solutions i can think of is maybe the water pump is faulty or the pulley on the alternator is the wrong size.
Whining noises often come from the alternator or the steering pump. Check the power steering fluid in the pump (there is a dipstick on the pump), and have an AVR test done on the alternator. If the alternator is faulty, you are probably having battery problems as well. If the steering pump is low on fluid or is faulty, you probably are experiencing jerky steering from time to time.
YES ! ! ! next you know you will be stranded trying to get a jumper it doesnt work until you replace either alternator and battery[both].
you could have a bad alternator or faulty plugwires ,or even a dirty fuel filter check for breaks in wires.
It sounds like a short. The short will draw constant current from the battery even with the key off. I would look start looking for the short in the headlight harness, or better yet your headlight switch. If your battery has tested good, have your alternator tested for a current draw; this is a common problem. The alternator has power going to it regardless of the key position. Replace the headlight buzzer.
