How do you help a narcissist?

The question is help them how? Refer them to counseling, but they don't want to be fixed, though you may want to fix them to be a 'normal' person so you can keep a relationship with them. If you are a lay person and in a relationship with a narcissist, you cannot help them. Just by the nature of your relationship and the pathology of a narcissist, things will get ugly, it will be at your expense and there will be no change in the narcissist. A good therapist will be the one to help a narcissist, but it takes a great deal of work on the part of the narcissist, a commitment to healing, only they don't see themselves as 'broken' or anything wrong with them, so an honest introspective communication with a therapist is rare. It's so hard to understand. Leaving them is best for you though and isn't that sad that that is also the way to help a narcissist, because they are sucking your goodness from you and using it to buoy themselves. So sad.

Does the narcissist discard you permanently if he believes you cheated on him?

I have a former friend who is an insecure narcissist. Because he treated his wife so poorly, she cheated on him with someone who could provide her with the emotional support that he withheld from her. Upon learning that she cheated on him, he rejected her. Later though, he begged and pleaded for her to return to him. Luckily for her, she did no such thing. And why would she after the horrible things he said to her?

Are molecule living things?

Molecules are not living things. They are chemicals. Most things are composed of molecules of one kind or another, though.

What do you do if you have reached an impassse with your narcissistic spouse and they are prolonging the silent treatment toward you?

Go to counseling. Rejoice! And again I say, rejoice! There is no silence more golden than a narcissist's. To not have to hear that annoying voice! It is truly heaven. Let me tell you how things work with a narcissist. They come from opposite land in Bizarro universe. The only way to get a narcissist to be nice to you is to (paradoxically) treat them terribly by ignoring them entirely. If the narcissist is ignoring you, you must have done something awfully decent and nice to deserve this. Do you see the impossibility of ever successfully dealing with and having a relationship with such a person? I would say, take immediate advantage of the impasse and the resulting silence by leaving the narcissist. No matter what you do, never pay any attention to the narcissist again, and don't talk or call or write unless forced by law to do so. The narcissist will always think of you, in the Bizarro universe way, as a wonderful person and will crave your attention, which you will never give. Thus exacting justice on the narcissist while taking back your life. Too bad you have to be mean to show a narcissist how wonderful you are, but you didn't start this thing. You should be the one to end it, though.

What can I d now I was having affair with married man who is a narcissist his wife found out and now he has cut me out completely I am shattered?

I have recently dealt with a similar situation, I know you must be hurting very badly right now, I remember that pain. I think what you should try to do is remember all the most horrible things he ever did to you, if he is a true narcissist, there will be plenty of them. Write them down, look at them when you are missing him. Also try to remember that the narcissist never shows you his true self, you are seeing an image that he WANTS you to see. It isn't real, it is a fantasy...which is why they seem so damned perfect. It is not possible to love someone (even though it sure feels like we do) when you don't know the REAL them. Though you are feeling intense hurt right now, and you can't see it, it is truly a BLESSING that he cut you out. You should be so thankful at this moment that you AREN"T his wife, what hell that would be. That is what I try to remind myself when I miss my narcissist. Things will get better for you, don't lose hope :)

What type of personality can establish a long term relationship with a narcissist-another narcissist?

No. Two narcissists would not get along in a long term relationship since a narcissist needs to be the smartest and greatest thing going and superior to everyone else. In order to have a "long term relationship" with a narcissist you need to have the personality traits that compliment the narcissist. Your purpose in the narcissist's life would be to supply what they need. That means you need to have the following personality traits:easy to be taken advantage ofinsecure with a poor self imagea poor understanding of realitywilling to constantly feed the narcissist's ego even though your praise would be dishonestwilling to place your own needs aside and concentrate on fulfilling the needs of your narcissistwilling to be treated with disrespect and verbally abused if you have an opinion, give advice when not asked to, or disagreenever, ever criticizewilling to pick up the pieces when they fail and never mention itwilling to join in the delusional, self grandiose world inhabited by your narcissistwilling to ignore public flirting with strangers in your presence, attention getting behavior in public and rudeness in their treatment of you and othersyou need to have a thick skin

How would a narcissist feel at being discarded with no explanation and then ignored from a person he did this to repeatedly?

My narcissist or rather ex-narcissist could not stand it. He called repeatedly. I ignored his calls. He finally showed up at my office and said he felt "teary-eyed." Only a narcissist would SAY he felt teary-eyed wherein most men try to hide their tears. I finally agreed to listen to more lies of how he missed me and needed me (even though he has since moved in with another woman). I actually started to believe in him again. For about a day. Then I heard he'd told people he wanted to be advised if my co-worker ever got divorced because he is interested in her. The lies never stop! And they get worse as they get older. Now I'm back to not answering his calls again.
