there is a fusible link on the starter solenoid somewhere
starter or alternator or water pump
fender mount starter solnoid stuck or conconcern in steering colum would be a starting place
The starter itself.. that would be unlikely... but a wire connected to the starter could on some vehicles.
It would stop.
either a dead starter or a bad ignition coil would be my guess
If the starter is engaging and is cranking the engine over but the engine refuses to run, my first guess would be the fuel pump is bad.
dead battery bad starter solenoid bad starter loose or corroded battery or starter cables
A soft start is a starter that bring a motor from the starting point of a slow speed in to a multiple speed that can be programmed in the starter Imagine you have a big plant in your factory, the voltage will go down/up when the plant start/stop, cause the sharp start/stop The soft starter is controlling AC motor in soft start/stop to eliminate such problems. There are several things that can keep a Chevy Tahoe from starting including the starter being bad, a dead battery, an alternator, or a fuel pump.
No, I would seek another answer to the problem. If the starter starts while the car is running, it may grind the bendix or the starter into a toothless nub and the starter will quit functioning alltogether.
ok, you will need a few items. List of materials: White paint paint brush a sportage a friend with a drivers liscense stopwatch First use the white paint to make a start and finish line where ever you want to do the timing. Second, get your friend to drive the sportage up to the start line. once your friend is at the start line say "GO" and simultaniously start your stop watch. When your friend crosses the finish line press stop on your stop watch. record the time on the stop watch as your "sportage time"
