Possibly bad wheel bearing.
If it's automatic, then possibly low on fluid, trans solenoid problem, dirty trans filter. If manual, possibly clutch, throwout bearing, haydraulics etc.
Possibly bad throwout bearing
A loud knock is usually associated with a rod bearing. The rod connects the crankshaft to the piston. If a rod bearing went out, possibly from an oil pump going bad, it would stall out the motor.
that would be due to the battery overheating, possibly caused by overcharging.
Leaking exhaust possibly, Loose belts, burnt bearing on an accessory.
It is difficult to say from your description, but it might be either a bent rim, or a Tire with Ply Separation in the sidewall or tread. However, if there is only a noise, and no FEELING of the wobble, then I would not think these are the causes. In a NOISE ONLY situation, the sound could be from a bad wheel bearing.
Probably a dry bearing or worn out bearing. Possibly a bent axle shaft. Have the tire checked for improper balance first, then see about the other possible diagnoses.
Wheel bearing, CV joints, balljoints, "rack" steering... just about anything that's loose in the suspension.
If the wheel bearing was bad enough, the hub could possibly come off. The wheel bearing would have to have been failed for a long time.
Serpentine belt glazed or worn Bearing in alternator/water pump or tensioner
Probably a frozen brake caliper...Possibly a bad weel bearing but i dont think it could stop the wheel completely.
