Sometimes fiddler crabs or other crab species are sold for aquariums. Most require brackish or even saltwater. Few thrive in freshwater. Most require live insects, worms, and/or small fish to eat. They can harass or kill other small animals in the tank with them. Many have nasty pinchers. For this reason, they are best suited to a set-up solely for them. Almost all of the crabs sold for "freshwater" tanks require a haul-out spot. The water level must be low enough to allow them to get in and out of the water with ease. If denied the ability to get out of the water, they will eventually die. They most likely also require full spectrum lighting over the basking site but studies probably have not been done on this. Fiddler crabs and similar species stay relatively small, at a few inches in size.
Most species of lobster and crayfish are carnivores and will still rip chunks out of your Koi even if they don't manage to catch and kill them immediately. I would not even consider the idea.
Well it depends on size and aggression.Koi eat crayfish and crayfish eat Koi .Just like mongoose(weasels) and snakes are complete enemies but are very evenly matched. If your feeding a live crayfish to a Koi make sure to rubber band it's claws.I currently trying to do the impossible by making them live together without killing each other.
well a live koi tattoo is luck so i would think a dead one would b the opposite
Cost?... well it would cost around about $5 and $20
Without much more information the question can not be answered accurately. Crayfish are scavengers and guppies are not their natural prey. If the crayfish is small enough and your guppies don't have long flowing fins then the guppies may well be too fast for the crayfish to catch. So the answer then would be none. Are you feeding the crays dead guppies? If so I would add one and see how long it takes the crayfish to eat it. Then I would add more and more dead guppies one at a time as the crayfish devours them. As the crayfish grows so it will eat more.
My mum has Hornwort in her Kio pond and it has grown very well and the koi have not eaten it at all
The Blind Crayfish would not be able to survive outside because the sun will kill them
crayfish should be put in about the temperature of water you would put fish in.
If it was injured or sick it may see the other as a weakness in its community
Crayfish are scavengers and will consume nearly anything is can grip. Sinking Shrimp pellets work well.
well the dangers are they are eatten and having war with other crayfish and it protects itself with its pincer not pincher.
a koi
