Harder. You'd need the complete URL not just the keyword and it would be harder to find related sites.

Search engines collects, archives, categorize and arrange information all through out the web to make it easier for all web users to find whatever they are searching for
How is a search engine and a metasearch engine dfferent?
Search engine usually have their own database of sites they craw and list in their database, for example Google, Yahoo, Ask. Meta Search Engines usually do not have their own database of crawled sites, they search the databases of real search engines, usually many search engines at the same time, and provide you results. So a meta search engine will give you results from say Yahoo and Google, some meta search engines do have database of sites submitted to them. Example of a meta search engine is DogPile.
Why doesn't anybody just use Google?
They don't have to use Google. There are plenty of other search engines available for them to use. Maybe they like something about the search engine they use better than they like that feature of Google's. Using different search engines will get you different results. Some are easier to use than others.

it would harder, because if u go to a website and u mistype it, it won't bring u to a serch engine it will just bring u to the website that u typed not the one u meant to type, or it will say URL does not exist. plus, if u are searching for answers, it probably wouldn't help u very much cause it wouldn't bring u to sites like this

Ask Jeeves is a great site to find answers to your questions. It is easier to use than other search engines. The also show "Related Searches" on the right, that can help you with your searches.
