It is generally advised that it is best to own two neutered Dogs of opposite genders for the best chance of them getting along. That said, provided both Dogs are well socialized and are not Dog aggressive then there is no reason why two female Staffords could not happily live together. I myself own two female Staffordshire Bull Terriers (3 years and 10 months) who co-exist very happily with one another.

How can you visually tell the difference between a Staffordshire terrier and a pitbull terrier?

Firstly, the Pit Bull is not actually a breed, but the term is used to refer to breeds such as the American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier and sometimes the Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Assuming by ''Pit Bull'' you mean the American Pit Bull Terrier or American Staffordshire Terrier, the difference is that the Staffordshire Bull Terrier is a few inches shorter, weighs less and was first bred in England. ''Pit Bull'' type dogs are unfortunately illegal in many countries, such as the UK, with the exception of the Staffordshire Bull Terrier; which is still legal.

What dog would best get along with your older female staffy?

If you are looking at getting another Staffordshire Bull Terrier then it would be best to look into getting a castrated male, as two females do not always get along. Hounds are generally the best temperamentally suited to living with another Dog as they were bred to hunt and live in large packs. However, there is no breed I can tell you that I could guarantee would get on well with your existing Dog, as it depends on the individual Dog. Providing you introduce them in a neutral environment (like a local park etc.) and the meeting goes well, your Staffy should be able to co-exist happily with another Dog.

What is the difference between Irish and American soft-coated wheaten terrier?

American Staffordshire TerrierThe American Staffordshire Terrier's muscled build and protective instinct should make strangers beware, yet with their own family they are devoted, gentle and loving. A common question regarding the American Staffordshire Terrier is, "How is this breed different from the American Pit Bull Terrier?". In the eyes of the United Kennel Club, they are the same breed, but many disagree. Some AKC-registered American Staffordshire Terriers are dual-registered as American Pit Bull Terriers with the UKC; however, this draws criticism from many who point out that the bloodlines have been separate for too long for these to be considered the same breed. The AKC, on the other hand, does not allow a UKC-registered American Pit Bull Terrier to be registered as an American Staffordshire Terrier. To be dual-registered, the dog must first be an AKC-registered American Staffordshire Terrier and then it can be registered with the UKC as an APBT -- but not vice versa... They are courageous and a tenacious fighter if provoked. Training can be a challenge because of their pushy yet sensitive character. Their natural temperament towards people is gentle and loving, unfortunately some have been improperly handled giving the American Staffordshire Terrier a bad rap.Irish Staffordshire TerrierThe Irish Staffordshire Bull Terrier is a powerful and muscular dog, very strong for his size with a broad head and well formed jaw. The muzzle is short(but longer than those of kc breeding) and the cheek muscles distinct. The stop is clearly defined. The round eyes are usually brown and the nose is usually black however "white" marked noses(unpigmented) and red noses along with golden/tawny eyes are common in some bloodlines some of the older Irish lines also show blue eyes. The teeth should always form a scissor bite. The ears are either rose or half-pricked. The neck is short and muscular. The front legs are spaced wide apart. If they have rear dewclaws they are generally removed, front dewclaw removal is optional. The short coat is soft, sleek and close. Comes in black, blue, fawn, red, white or any colour brindle, often with markings. no colour is a fault. certain bloodlines have a predominance of certain colours.

What dog would get along with two miniature schnauzers?

Any Dog of any breed can get along fine with two Miniature Schnauzers - providing they have all been well socialized. I have a Staffordshire Bull Terrier who happily lives with two Miniature Dachshunds, it's down to you to make sure they are socialized and well trained. I would suggest getting a puppy so that it could grow up with your two other Dogs. Also, make sure your two existing dogs would appreciate another Dog in ''their'' territory.

Do you think a toy fox terrier-chihuahua and a staffordshire terrier can get along?

Of course!! Any breed of dog can get along with any other breed of dog! There are recordings of Staffordshires being protective of Miniture Foxy's, and Great Danes being best friends with Daschunds. So any breeds are great together as long as you take it slow in the introducing stage if they're only just meeting, don't just let them loose in the yard and expect them to get along, they have to determine pecking order and they have to determine boundries, after that they should be fine apart from the odd squirl. ;)

Which breed would get along with a Yorkshire terrier?

How would a pitbull a dogo argentino a rottweiler and a doverman get along?

One of the earliest duties of the domestic dog was guarding the property of its owners, whether that property be land, livestock or his owner's home. Most modern dog breeds will naturally act as guardians when at home, but some dog breeds have been especially developed or selectively bred for their natural inclination to guard and defend the territory and people they consider as having under their custody.American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Bull Terrier, Cane Corso, Doberman Pinchers, Dogo Argentino, Dogue de Bordeaux, German Shepherds, Presa Canario, Rottweilers, and Staffordshire Bull Terriers, the much maligned breeds that we have found to be so loveable and affectionate. Breed-specific legislation is WRONG. It is the backyard breeder, the irresponsible owner and how the dog is trained or untrained that is responsible for their bad behavior.
