It is generally advised that it is best to own two neutered Dogs of opposite genders for the best chance of them getting along. That said, provided both Dogs are well socialized and are not Dog aggressive then there is no reason why two female Staffords could not happily live together. I myself own two female Staffordshire Bull Terriers (3 years and 10 months) who co-exist very happily with one another.

Assuming by ''Pit Bull'' you mean the American Pit Bull Terrier or American Staffordshire Terrier, the difference is that the Staffordshire Bull Terrier is a few inches shorter, weighs less and was first bred in England. ''Pit Bull'' type dogs are unfortunately illegal in many countries, such as the UK, with the exception of the Staffordshire Bull Terrier; which is still legal.

If you are looking at getting another Staffordshire Bull Terrier then it would be best to look into getting a castrated male, as two females do not always get along. Hounds are generally the best temperamentally suited to living with another Dog as they were bred to hunt and live in large packs. However, there is no breed I can tell you that I could guarantee would get on well with your existing Dog, as it depends on the individual Dog. Providing you introduce them in a neutral environment (like a local park etc.) and the meeting goes well, your Staffy should be able to co-exist happily with another Dog.

I have a Staffordshire Bull Terrier who happily lives with two Miniature Dachshunds, it's down to you to make sure they are socialized and well trained. I would suggest getting a puppy so that it could grow up with your two other Dogs. Also, make sure your two existing dogs would appreciate another Dog in ''their'' territory.

Of course!! Any breed of dog can get along with any other breed of dog! There are recordings of Staffordshires being protective of Miniture Foxy's, and Great Danes being best friends with Daschunds. So any breeds are great together as long as you take it slow in the introducing stage if they're only just meeting, don't just let them loose in the yard and expect them to get along, they have to determine pecking order and they have to determine boundries, after that they should be fine apart from the odd squirl. ;)
