No, absolutely not! Testing on animals, whether it's cosmetics, drugs, cleaners, etc., is a horribly cruel way to treat animals. Most people are not aware of just what the animals do go through during the testing processes, but I can tell you it is horrific. They are subjected to incredible pain while being used for testing, then when those using them for testing are through with them, they are then killed or sold to unethical dog food companies who actually use them in their dog food. If these products need to be tested on living things, then they should give those on death row the option to have their sentence commuted from death row to life without parole in exchange for allowing themselves to be used in the testing. And to those who would argue that this would be unethical, no it wouldn't. At least the death row inmates would have the choice, whereas the innocent animals have no say in the matter. They will even mail (email or snail mail) brochures for you to read and photos of exactly what these poor animals have to endure. I warn you though, the photos are graphic and hard to get out of your mind once you've seen them, unless you're one of those cold, heartless types who don't care about innocent animals and the horrible pain they endure while being used for testing the products.

Ignoring everything else, it'd simply be hugely impractical to use endangered animals for animal testing.
