i had the similar problem! a tip!do you have a Modem or such router?then take out the internet cable for about 30 seconds (and if you can turn the modem/router off do that too) then plug it in and test it!
Firstly, get your network status on the Xbox 360 network settings. This will tell you if connected or not etc. If you know its the update, you can go onto the xbox website and download the update manually. There will be a installation guide to apply the update.
You don't. You just plug it into the back of your XBOX360 and go to...XBOX Dashboard -> My XBOX -> Settings -> Network Settings -> Find a Network
Yes. You go to...XBOX Dashboard ->MY XBOX ->Scroll all the way to the right and go to ->Settings ->Network Settings ->Search for Network
It may be your family settings or your xbox may need to update a game, which momentarily disconnects you from xbox live, but signs you in after it is complete. but i would suggest checking the family settings.
You have to first update the game over xbox live
no, you could just go to system settings, and then network settings and click wireless and you can join into your wifi.

go int system settings and select updates catogory
Test your xbox live connection in network settings and your nat type is open
Hey there! Boot up your xbox while the ethernet cable is connected, Press the Guide button (middle xbox button) on your controller and navigate to the right on the home screen until you get to 'settings', then to 'network settings'. Select wired network or the name of your network, then select 'configure network'. In the additional settings tab, select 'restore factory defaults'. This will reset only the network settings, and should allow you to access the internet from the xbox. If you were on a wireless connection, you will have to re-enter your wireless password. Let me know if this resolves your issue!
The Xbox Live status code 8B050008 indicates that the console software needs updating. To do this, go to the "Settings" menu, select "System Settings" and then choose "Network Settings". After choosing the option for wired or wireless networks, the option to perform a software update will appear.
Yes. All you have to do is hook the xbox up to your computer with an Ethernet cable and enable Connection Sharing in you network settings.
