Yes, my 1999 Ford Ranger stops running at all speeds. Sometimes it doesn't stop for a whole week, other times it can stop 3 times in succession. I have to turn the enging completely off and restart it while driving. I put in the clutch and turn off the motor, turn it back on and let out the clutch. Very unsafe. The check engine light comes on, but the computer message doesn't show when the computer is scanned. I have had it checked out many times, from dealer to other commercial, well known auto shops. I have had the fuel pump changed twice. No help. I did receive a little help when I got the truck recently tuned, then back to the stoppage. Latest info was from an auto shop that said that they know that 1999, 2000 Rangers do that and that the problem is electrical and to take it to an auto electric guy. That is my next stop.
possible rollover senser under dash!
Trans output speed sensor.
You have a leak in the cooling system. Pressure builds up after 20-30 minutes of running and a leak anywhere in the system is going to get worse.
It's a ford thing just get use to it.
Change the belt
Replace it.
what would make a 2000 ford windstar die out at stop lights and you have to put your foot on the brake and gas at the same time to keep it running and it sputters and jerks.
