Ciprofloxacin as such does not take away your appetite. You are prescribed the drug for some infection. Most probably, that infection has taken away your appetite.

Yes...or weight gain. Not usually from the Arthritis itself but more from the lack of inactivity or loss of appetite from certain medicines, other medicines can cause weight gain. It varies from person to person though depending on how one copes.
I was prescribed Depakote a few years ago for supposed manic depression. I did have a huge loss of appetite the first month of taking it and lost 12 pounds; after the first month though, I had a normal appetite and gained it all back.
