you have your baby when you are ten centimeters dialated so your nearly 2 depending on how quick your contractions come you could have hours yet ....
The best thing to tell you is what i just learned that there is no way of knowing how long it could go on but your so close that you could go into labor any day
I am also 1cm dilated and 80% effaced...1 week ago I was 1 cm dilated and 70% effaced. It is different for everyone...Although my DR. said the norm was 3 days after you lose your mucus plug...good luck
50% is out of 100% which means your cervix is paper thin. Once your cervix is dialated to 10cm & your 100% effaced baby is ready to be born. How long it could be in this position, depends on your body.
A woman who is 8 centimeters dilated has 2 centimeters left to go.
The baby will be here by the time you and everyone else reads this answer!
== == Theoretically, as long as you are past the point where the fetus is viable, active labor can begin any time in any pregnancy, no matter how much you are dilated or effaced. This means you could go into active labor in four minutes, four days, four weeks, etc. There's really no way to tell.
Well if you're 40% effaced then labour has already begun!! Well if you're 40% effaced then labour has already begun!!
You sure can. I'm 37 weeks, my baby hasn't dropped a bit either. But my doc did tell me I am 1 cm dialated and 50% effaced. She thinks I will have a long labor. It is my first.
It just depends on the person. There are so many factors to consider when estimating birthing times. Sorry.
I would not wait around to find out....get to a hospital. Only an OBGYN can tell this while you are in labor.
It totally depends! If you think you are going into labor, call your doctor or just go into the hospital. They will be able to tell you. I was 3 cm dilated for weeks and weeks! I got up to 70% effaced by 38 weeks. I went into labor and went into the hospital, however they sent me home because I didn't dilate past 3 cm in the entire hour I was there. 6 hours later I had my baby! So it happened very quickly for me. Pretty much RIGHT when I got home from my first trip to the hospital I started going into true and hard labor! Good Luck. :)
The baby can drop in labor. It is always not easy to distinguish when the baby drops. I have had 3 children and never knew when they dropped I only knew when labor kicked in.
Could be hours to days to weeks. Everyone is different. You will probably start active labor within 24 hours. There is no stopping labor at this point.
