I have been dating a gentleman whom I met on boomercupid.com for the past 5 weeks, he has always told me he is very shy, so i did not push him too much when i saw he was not making any passes at me, like not kissing me 'til the 3rd week, he never told me he liked me or that he thought about me or anything like that, i often times wondered if maybe he did not like women, until one day he kissed me, we continued to go out several times however one day he started receiving phone calls on his cell while we were together which he did not answered in front of me. i caught him one day talking on the cel, and he explained to me that his ex was calling him, he then started acting a bit off, like trying to not be too close to me or not holding hands while at the movies, last Sunday he said he would call me after droping me off but never did.

So my question to all of you out there is this: Is he being honest? does it seem like an excuse to stop seing me? or is he worried that i may dump him first I wrote several emails to him and called him but his phone was turned off, he finally sent me an email (please read the following):

"I have had the flu since yesterday morning. I am not feeling very good at all. I have another problem, They are not giving me any saturday's off any time soon, and I am not very happy with that at all. They are giving me more to do which is fine, but I need the time off to relax. I know it's going to interfere with us and I don't want to put you through that. You are a great person and a lot of fun being with, but with out having time I know you will get tired of it, you have made comments on that before. This is really hard on me right now".

I really would like to know your opinions.
