Well, most girls are shy too. If you can't get her talking try start a conversation. I, myself, am shy too. I don't really like to talk to guys face to face. I can't text so that is another bad thing, but if you talk around and get her number, text her. If she still doesn't respond... Ask around and see what she likes. Find out who she sits with at lunch and if she sits alone, too shy to sit with anyone, go sit with her. It will make her feel like someone can branch out. Also, even though it is mainly told for girls to flirt, flirt with her some way. Don't try a cheesy pickup line on her, too. Those are major turnoffs for a shy girl.
