Disconnect the negative battery cable. 6. Remove the water pump pulley bolts. 7. Remove the accessory drive belt(s). 8. Remove the drive belt tensioner. 9. Remove the water pump pulley. 10. Remove the crankshaft balancer. 11. Disconnect the Crankshaft Position (CKP) and Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor connections. 12. Disconnect the Oil pressure sensor connection. 13. Remove the CKP sensor shield. 14. Remove the engine mount bracket. 15. Remove the front oil pan-to-front cover bolts. 16. Remove the oil filter. 17. Remove the lower radiator hose. 18. Disconnect the CKP sensor. 19. Remove the front cover. 20. Rotate the crankshaft until the timing mark on the camshaft sprocket is aligned with the crankshaft sprocket timing mark. Step 4: Reinstall the assembly. 4. Install the camshaft sprocket bolt and torque the bolt to 74 ft. lbs. (100 Nm) plus an additional 90 degree turn. 5. Install the timing chain damper and torque the mounting bolts to 16 ft. lbs. (22 Nm). 6. Install the front cover seal lubricated with engine oil, using the appropriate seal driver. 7. Install the new front cover gasket. 8. Install the front cover and torque the bolts to 15 ft. lbs. (20 Nm) plus an additional 40 degree turn. 9. Install the oil pan-to-front cover bolts and torque the bolts to 125 inch lbs. (14 Nm). 10. Connect the CKP sensor and torque the bolts to 21 ft. lbs. (28 Nm) 11. Install the CKP sensor shield. 12. Install the engine mount bracket and torque the bolts to 65 ft. lbs. (87 Nm) 13. Install the water pump pulley and torque the bolts to 115 inch lbs. (13 Nm) 14. Install the lower radiator hose. 15. Install the oil filter. 16. Install the crankshaft balancer and torque the bolt to 111 ft. lbs. (150 Nm) plus an additional 75 degree turn. 17. Install the belt tensioner and torque the bolts to 37 ft. lbs. (50 Nm) 18. Install the accessory drive belt. 19. Connect the negative battery cable. 20. Remove the engine support fixture. 21. Refill the cooling system. 22. Refill the engine oil. 23. Start the engine and check for leaks, repair if necessary.
