I'm having the same problem, cant find an answer anywhere. Did you ever figure it out?
Its probly your fan not working right check it out okay I seem to be having the same problem. If the fan does not turn on when you turn the AC on then I believe that it is electrical problem.
having a problem with my rebuilt trans, i put it in everything right but its leaking from the or around sensor on the panssager side
Pay attention to you car. If the car is shifting odd or you notice a skip, your transmission may be the problem. Take it to an authorized mechanic right away.
Are you asking the cause of the leak or cause of the not moving problem. If your fluid is low that may be the problem right there. YOU CAN BURN OUT A TRANSMISSION BY NOT KEEPING FLUID FULL!!!
There are many signs of a bad transmission and it is important to know them. Some ways to tell if transmission is not working right, would be rough shifting, leaks, and warning lights on the dashboard blinking.Ê
On the bright side, the fact the "S" indicator light came on indicates it is an electrical problem rather than a mechanical one. When the A/T control unit senses an abnormality in the input or output systems, the "S" indicator light in the gauge assembly will blink. You have an electrical problem with the transmission. The check engine light may be on simply because the transmission is having a problem or it may be on due to an emissions problem. Have the transmission looked at first by a professional and have him reset the CE light. If it comes back on then you also have an emissions problem. Your priority right now is to have the transmission looked at.
The transmission connector is right below the battery it could have been knocked loose.
I have an 88 Ford Taurus L wagon and something like this is happening to me. The transmission is slipping in and out of overdrive and when it does the "check engine" like goes on briefly. I still have to have it looked at so I don't know about the code. But, my car did not just quit working right away. By the way, this problem just started last week and it does appear to be getting worse.
YES, That is no problem, it will bolt right up.
The right side will have a burnt out/ missing light bulb.
will you probably have a bad transmission take it to a shop and check it out. Mine is having the same problem. First I'm going to change the transmission fluid. It could be dirty. The transmission has a filter, which is just a metal screen, but this is not servicable without removing the transmission which could break the bank and is almost certainly not the problem. I will take mine to the Honda dealer to change the fluid as Honda has a special kind of Automatic Transmission Fluid for it's vehicles and I've read that any other type of fluid may damage the tranny. If this doesn't solve the problem it could be a bad connection with one of the transmission control solinoids, something as simple as crud in the wrond place or carbon collected on the contacts. If the dealership transmission flush/change doesn't fix the problem I'm going to investigate using the "Transmission Control Module" or TCM(the computer that monitors the transmission) using the "service check connector", located under the kick panel to the right of the passengers right foot, and a paperclip. That should give you some leads.
