Why do people ask duplicate questions on Wiki Answers?
People ask duplicate questions on WikiAnswers because some people are unwilling or unable to check whether their 'item of interest' has already been answered. Sometimes a question has a slightly different wording, and the question isn't recognized by the website as a near-match. Users new to the website may not understand that "spelling counts," or may be unable to spell some of the words. Differences as subtle as hyphenation between a compound noun can be enough to make the website think it's a different question when it's a duplicate.

Is unable and not able are different words?
Yes, " Unable to " is very different to that of " Not able to ". Grammatically any failure / fall of action is denoted by " Un+Able ". When people speak, they colloquially tend to get the " Not " as the strong notation of affirming the failure in action, deriving " Not able ". As a layman both means the same, but per grammar the fail of action is mentioned " Unable to ". Regards, Subu
