I'm a little confused about the barbiturate test because there's no evidence either of those will cross react with the barbiturates test...but you should have tested positive for benzos because both of the drugs you are on are benzos.
Ummm if you took xanex, klonopin, etc
Medications such as Trazodone and Daypro can cause false positive results for benzodiazepines. There are many benzodiazepines. Some examples are Xanax, Klonopin, Valium, and Librium to name a few. There are many more.
No, Dilantin is a brand name of the drug phenytoin used to treat seizures. Benzodiazepines are used to treat anxiety. In some cases benzodiazepines are prescribed for muslce spasms and epilepsy (the conditions that might also be treated with Dilantin), but Dilantin is not a benzodiazepine.
Chinese herb pills will throw a positive for benzodiazepines--but it's not a false positive, as there are benzodiazepines in Chinese herb pills.
It depends on the specificity of the test. Some tests just test for Benzodiazepines which is the class of drugs for xanax and klonopin. In this case you would show positive for benzos. If it is a specific test it will show up as xanax or alprazolam (generic name) not as klonopin or clonazepam.

Then he lied to you no other drug will test positive for benzodiazepines other than benzodiazepines.
