Its very hard to get emancipated. You have to be able to show that you can support yourself. 13 is not even old enough to get a decent job that pays over 7 dollars. So a 13 year probably can not get emancipated

No, in New York, you are considered a legal adult at 18, so emancipation is not necessary once you reach that age. At 18, you are able to make your own decisions and are legally responsible for yourself.
Albany, NY
No you have to be 18 or emancipated by the court or have parental permission.
No, that child is emancipated
No, in NY an 18 year-old is considered as having reached majority (adulthood), and is automatically considered emancipated (assuming no disabilities). -J
You are emancipated by 18 and can choose where to live.
get emancipated..you have to get a job and show you can support yourself and have a place to live
im not sure which stae you are in but in order to be emancipated in CA you must be of at least 14 years of age :)
No. In NYC a parent has to support a child until the child is 21 years old or becomes emancipated. Emancipation means a child is living separately and independently from a parent, or is self-supporting.
In the state of NY, a 16 year old cannot legally move out of their parents house without their consent. They would have to go to court to become an emancipated minor to do so.
The few people I know that have been emancipated in the past have gone through Family Court. You have to be able to prove that you have the means to be independant, i.e. employment, housing, etc. Also you must not forget that until you are 21, at least in NY, the parents are responsible for their childrens actions. Emancipation absolves them from any legal actions caused by the minor once they are emancipated.
