try changing it's water more offten, use warmer water. When I got mine from my sister-in-law it just floated at the top like it was about to die. I just change it's water every other day w/ warm water and it came back to life. 3yrs later still kickin.
i have the same problem with my Betta fish and i have herd that it means your fish is overfed. my fish also has a bloated stomach which means its overfed. i dont know what to do though
If you overfed it, it lost its balance. Sometimes betta fish do lay on their sides. That is just what they do.
If you're fish is floating to the top , and it is not flapping it's fins that means it's dead! I have my own fish.
Because it's dead stupid!
it's dead
no they eat freeze dried blood worms, live food,or Betta food bought from a store.
the guy at PetSmart told me it means the fish wants to mate ...yep, even fish have the need :)
nevermind, she died
Betta fish have different personalities. Some are more active than others. If your betta fish is active, that means that he is healthy. Sometimes, they will get hyper when they see you because you feed them.
other Betta fish and the bigger fish.
Betta fish do not eat fish.
No betta fish are carnivores.
They are territorial by nature and they compete to court sometimes
Well, if you love your Betta fish, then it should live by itself. But if you add another Betta to your current Betta fish's tank, then they will start a fight because Betta Fish are Siamese fighting fish and if one Betta is in contact of another Betta, the possible reason would be a fight between them two.
A betta is a fish of the species Betta, especially Betta splendens, commonly known as the Siamese fighting fish.
