try changing it's water more offten, use warmer water. When I got mine from my sister-in-law it just floated at the top like it was about to die. I just change it's water every other day w/ warm water and it came back to life. 3yrs later still kickin.

∙ 12y agoi have the same problem with my Betta fish and i have herd that it means your fish is overfed. my fish also has a bloated stomach which means its overfed. i dont know what to do though

∙ 15y agoIf you overfed it, it lost its balance. Sometimes betta fish do lay on their sides. That is just what they do.
