Lets see...first things to do would be to see if your iPod is locked. Try looking on the bottom for the little switch. If it is red, you cannot use the iPod. Try turning it the other way to silver instead. If that does not work, try looking at your iTunes account and check to see if your account password has anything to do with it. Next, try looking to see if you have a password to your iPod. I personally have not experienced this problem (prayerfully), so I am not 100% sure if this will work. You might try to contact iTunes and see what they say.
Put your ipod touch into DFU(Recovery mode). plug in your ipod touch to the computer then restore(to the previous firmware.) When restoring press Shift+click Restore(on Windows PC)

As long as iTunes will show your iPod on the screen, you can click on "Restore iPod." Yeah, it will completely wipe everything out, an make it act like it just came out of the box, but it's better than having no iPod at all, right?

Follow these steps: Settings app > General > Passcode Lock > Enter passcode > Turn Passcode Off > Enter passcode once more

If you mean passcode (safety lock, asks for code on wake up):go to Settings on the Home Screen> General> Passcode Lock> (enter your passcode)> Turn Passcode Off> (enter your passcode again)
Go to settings>general>passcode lock Enter the passcode you already have set. Click change passcode and enter your old passcode. Carefully choose a new passcode and enter it. Then enter it again. To erase the passcode, click turn passcode off, and enter your old passcode.
Settings > general > passcodelock > turn passcode on > Enter a 4 digit # > re-enter your passcode. If you ever want a longer passcode, go to general > passcode lock > look for "simple passcode" > turn it off > enter old passcode > enter your knew pass code (it can be as long as you want) > re-enter it > click "done" in the top right hand corner. Your longer pass code will be set.
simply unplug the ipod, enter your passcode and plug the ipod back to the computer, restart itunes and done

Slide to bar labeled "Slide to unlock" all the way, then, if needed, enter the passcode.
settings/general/pass lock... once you get to the pass lock section enter your current passcode(if you have one), once in you can simply turn on or off the Simple Passcode option. if this option is on you only have a 4 digits passcode, when turned off you can make your super passcode with letters
Enter your 4-digit passcode. If it is not your iPod Touch, do not attempt to hack it, since hacking is illegal in most places. If it is your iPod, you have to restore it through iTunes if you forgot the passcode.
